Strategic Partnerships and Green Innovation Support

Propella Business Incubator plays a leading role in advancing green innovation, clean technologies, and sustainable industrial development within South Africa and across the African continent. As an identified Cleantech Implementing Partner in the Eastern Cape, Propella collaborates with the Technology Innovation Agency (TIA), the Department of Science, Technology and Innovation (DSTI), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and the Global Cleantech Innovation Programme South Africa (GCIP-SA) to support the development and commercialisation of innovative clean technology solutions.
Through these partnerships, Propella provides entrepreneurs and innovators with specialised support aimed at accelerating the development, validation, commercialisation, and scaling of cleantech innovations that contribute to sustainable economic growth, resource efficiency, climate resilience, and environmental sustainability.

Propella is also a delivery partner in the Investing in Young Businesses in Africa – Supporting Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Development (IYBA-SEED) programme, implemented in partnership with Bond'Innov and supported by the European Union. Through this initiative, Propella delivers the Green Industry Expansion Programme, which assists green and environmentally sustainable businesses to explore and access new opportunities across African markets.
The programme supports entrepreneurs in strengthening their export readiness, developing international market entry strategies, building cross-border partnerships, and accessing regional innovation ecosystems. Participating businesses benefit from exposure to strategic markets across Africa, including South Africa, Senegal, Kenya, Togo, and Benin, creating opportunities for collaboration, market expansion, and sustainable business growth.

These strategic partnerships strengthen Propella's ability to provide entrepreneurs with access to international networks, specialised expertise, funding opportunities, market access support, and global best practices in clean technology and industrial innovation. Through these initiatives, Propella continues to contribute to the development of a competitive green economy while supporting entrepreneurs who are building technologies and businesses that address some of Africa's most pressing environmental and industrial challenges.
